The Sacrament of Baptism is a means of God's grace
We believe that Baptism is the fulfillment of the promise received by faith; for Jesus said: "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned." Mark 16:16
We believe that "Baptism works forgiveness of sins, delivers from death and the devil, and gives everlasting salvation to all who believe what the words and promises of God declare."
Infant Baptism
The Scripture clearly states that infants have faith, for it is God who instills faith in the heart.
"For with the heart Man believes unto righteousness..." Romans 10:10
" Jesus said, 'Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea." Matthew 18:3,6
Luke 18:15-16
Baptism Performed in the Name of the Triune God
"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost..." Matthew 28:19
Mode of Baptism - We practice sprinkling, but accept the validity of other forms if performed in the Name of the Triune God.
